Clubs play a 10-match regular season followed by a championship, providing a balanced schedule that maximizes competition while respecting player availability during the summer months.

The Summer Championship Tier is the highest level of NPSL-RL's summer competition and is eligible for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on the men's side, giving qualifying clubs a pathway to one of the country's most prestigious soccer competitions.
